And when he takes Harry’s cuddling and Harry’s fondness for riding him into account, plugging him up properly becomes nearly impossible.
He’s fortunate he’s found the spell and learned to use it before his mind’s come back to him, because oh, those first few months were so much messier than they needed to be, Harry trying to crawl off him and get curled up the way he enjoys after while Draco’d been so busy trying to keep his cock up Harry’s arse, a temporary plug while he’d fumbled with the other.
The spell doesn’t stop things but it does slow things down; Draco’s in no way willing to risk an incident that might require medical advice for a secret he doesn’t want to divulge. So his come doesn’t magically hold itself in Harry’s arse, merely creeps-drips much slower than it should, and Draco has the sweet satisfaction of the wet sounds it makes as the thick black plug pushes it back up into him.

So Draco keeps his secrets—how much Harry means and maybe why he stays—and tells himself it’s all right if people stare, if people think him unworthy of the hero they think Harry is, because Draco knows things they never will.
And sometimes, when they’re out somewhere and Harry shifts his hips a little, the look Harry gives him says maybe Harry knows him, back.
