hp_kinkmemes

Once again, we'd like to thank everyone that has participated; without you, hp_kinkmemes wouldn't exist. We continue to be thrilled by the support we've received and thank you all. You are all amazing.  ♥

On to the news:

1) We are now affiliated with hp_rare_kink, who had a mini-round (which appears to be open for a few hours more) this month. If rare pairs are your thing, please do check them out. There are some pretty nifty fills up there, too!
As a heads up: We will be co-operating with hp_rare_kink in the future, to ensure a minimum of overlap between memes. This means that we most likely won't be hosting rare-pair kinkmemes at hp_kinkmemes but it does not mean that you cannot prompt rare-pair kinks in the ALL PAIRINGS KINKMEME which will go up on New Year's Eve; it just means that (provided there is a round open over at hp_rare_kink) we will be encouraging you to leave your rare-pair prompts and fills over there instead or, alternatively, cross-post them. 

If you want to affiliate with us, we would be thrilled. Just drop us a comment or PM. :D

2) The age policy. As some of you noticed, there was a slight kerfuffle about this early on in the H/D KINKMEME. We'd chosen to remove the age limit due to having received many requests for us doing so. The arguments for removing the age limit were many, and many of them good ones too, but ultimately we decided to re-instate the age limit when it became clear that the majority of the participants wanted it back. 
This has lead to us formulating an under-age policy, which we will be sticking to from now on. This is not up to discussion anymore, though we thank everyone who has chimed in and given their say in the matter. You have all been heard (and if we haven't answered your PM it is either because it got lost in the flood or because it was outright flaming, in which case it was deleted). 

3) HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Hello everyone!

We, the mods of hp_kinkmemes, are overwhelmed by the massive support and interest in hp_kinkmemes! We're impossibly proud to tell you that so far we haven't experienced any flaming and very few comments have had to be deleted, which is fantastic. We've also received over 30 private messages with questions, suggestions, requests and a bit of squee in addition to the comments in both the off-topic post and the poll-post, and we are EXCITED. THANK YOU, everyone, who has taken the time to get in touch and drop a line, however insignificant it may have seemed--to us, it isn't. We appreciate every single comment made and we take everything into account.

On that note, we'll plunge right into the news and changes part! When we started hp_kinkmemes  we had some pretty set ideas about the way things were supposed to be, at least in the beginning. After listening to everything you lot have had to say and generally using our own personal networks to gauge interest, test the waters and send out feelers for the moods and wants of the HP community at large, we realised pretty quickly that the way we are doing it isn't the perfect way and is definitely open for revisions. So!
